Ginger Lemon Matcha Tonic

Lemon, Matcha, Soda... sounds offbeat? As a seasoned barista, I never dared to sip it until I found myself making one for me almost every afternoon and trust me, you want to try it before you judge it..

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp ceremonial matcha powder
  • ¼ cup warm water (not boiling)
  • Juice of ½ lemon
  • Juice of ½ lime
  • ½–1 tsp honey or maple syrup
  • pinch of minced ginger
  • ¾ cup sparkling water
  • Ice

How to Make

  1. Whisk 1 tbsp matcha with warm water until smooth and frothy. SHop my matcha kit —>
  2. In your cup, add lemon juice, lime juice, and your sweetener if using
  3. Add minced ginger & mix 
  4. Fill glass with ice until about 20oz matcha can fit. Shop my iced matcha cup kit —> 
  5. Top with cold water or sparkling water and stir gently.
  6. Pour matcha mixture over ice.
  7. Top with mint + lemon wedges for cafe effect
